You, Me, & Everyone We Know: Free EP!

Shut up and dance!

I love the guys in You, Me, & Everyone We Know. They write some truly catchy tunes and great things are happening for them. When I worked with them and did their press photos back in October, they were on tour with Casting Out (former members of Boy Sets Fire) and most of the guys had less than a few dollars to their name. Throwing your life into a tour van and hitting the road, it’s a risky thing. And now, it’s all paying off.

After an awesome tour with The Color Fredww (Fred of Taking Back Sunday) and Island Records’ The Pink Spiders, You Me & Everyone We Know are releasing a free digital EP via Rushmore Records, the sister label to the pop punk giant Drive Thru Records, famed for bringing acts like New Found Glory, Something Corporate, Finch, and The Starting Line into the music industry.

I’m proud of these boys. They’re making it happen. Download their EP for free over at Absolutepunk. For fans of sugary pop punk, served up a la I Am The Avalanche mixed with the dancey hooks of Panic! At The Disco and The Higher, and the clever, often naughty lyrics of Say Anything.

Good luck guys!

You, Me, & Everyone We Know

You, Me, & Everyone We Know

You know, every once and a while I get to work with a really great band that is just on the verge of breaking out. I’ve considered myself really lucky with this. Many groups that have achieved some great things, all posed in front of me and my silly camera. Seriously, I have the best hobby ever.

You, Me, & Everyone We Know

Last week I got to work with current buzz band You, Me, & Everyone We Know. Currently managed by Rich & Stephanie Reines of Drive Thru Records, who helped launch the careers of New Found Glory, Something Corporate, HelloGoodbye, and more, these guys have been generating a buzz in the music scene like you wouldn’t believe.

And they are some seriously amazing guys. It’s rare that you find a group that is both talented and level headed. They sound like the love child of Say Anything and The Movielife, which is definitely a hella good thing.

You, Me, & Everyone We Know

They have a live show that rivals a lot of the signed bands I’ve seen performing lately, and these dudes have only been together for a year. A YEAR. One of the members, Mike, used to be in a group called The Alpha Couple that had a fantastic EP out on British Records. The members come from all over the country. Illinois, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia… and still manage to sound tight.

You Me & Everyone We Know

Catch them on tour right now with Fred Mascherino (of Taking Back Sunday), Paper Rival, and The Pink Spiders. They have some excellent tours in the works, which I won’t mention here til they are finished with their current one. It’s fun being on the inside. *wink*

Halo 4: The Battle for The Office

Office Halo

I have an awesome day job. I usually spend my lunch break reading, writing, or doing homework.

However, due to recently beating Halo 3, an event which had me near tears, I’ve decided to celebrate by taking some fun pictures involving my Halo 3 Kubricks causing trouble in my cubicle. Cause I mean, why not?

There will be more in the coming weeks, pending I don’t have too much homework or reading to do. It’s been a light week, thankfully, and it’s nice to actually relax during my lunch break, rather then rack my brain.

I recently worked with an amazing band called You Me & Everyone We Know. They’re named after that movie and make amazingly catchy music. Think I Am The Avalanche combined with the lyrical sensibility of Say Anything, and there you have it. They’re managed by Rich & Steph of Drive Thru Records, and will be heading out on a tour with Fred Maschino of Taking Back Sunday and The Pink Spiders this Fall.

Expect great things, and some equally nice looking press shots.
