Requesting Review Copies of WELCOME HOME and BRANDED

welcome home banner

Well, 2017 is shaping up to be an interesting year. Branded is coming out in May, Welcome Home is coming out in September, and I’m not sleeping until the beginning of 2018.

Right now, you can request review copies of both books! They’ve even both on NetGalley right now at the same time. Yes, that is the sound of me breathing heavily.

Here how you can scoop up a copy:

WELCOME HOME, my adoption-themed YA anthology, is up on NetGalley, and people are already reading it! This is blowing my mind. The book comes out on September 5th with Flux.

You can request it on NetGalley here.

The book features short stories across genres from over two dozen authors, and I’m so proud of it. And this is your chance to read it almost half a year before it comes out! Whoa!

Also, be sure to add it on Goodreads? You can expect some giveaways there soon, as well as other really cool news regarding the book (a top secret microsite project, pre-order campaigns, posters!) soon.

Interested in requesting a physical ARC? Flux has a limited print amount that they are sending out to reviewers. If you’d like one, you can email me at ericsmithrocks at gmail dot com, and I’ll forward your request.

BRANDED, the sequel to INKED, comes out with Bloomsbury’s digital imprint, Bloomsbury Spark, on May 23rd. It’s also up on NetGalley (is this really happening?), and you can request it here.

If you haven’t read the first book, and you’re interested in reading it… let me know! I would be more than happy to gift a copy of Inked your way. This is an eBook exclusive series though, so only ask if you don’t mind me sending you a Kindle of Nook code.

And hey, if you pre-order Branded, I’m doing a fun pre-order campaign! You can get temporary tattoos and signed postcards! And it’s international!

That’s all!

Branded: Pre-order the Sequel to Inked, Get Signed Postcards & Tattoos!

postcard preorder

Well, it’s that time.

Branded, the sequel to Inked, had a pretty wild ride. But now, it’s finally almost here, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

To celebrate, I’m running a little pre-order giveaway. Since my duology is a digital-only series, I wanted to be able to give my awesome readers a little something to actually hold onto.

So! If you pre-order Branded, you’ll get a set of signed postcards of the covers, an Inked and Branded quote postcard set designed by rockstar author and illustrator Ashley Poston, and a handful of temporary tattoos!

silver and gold

As you know from Inked, the characters have magical, moving tattoos. And the nature imagery is a big deal in the book. So I’ve ordered a ton of these fantastic Tattify tattoos. Every pre-order-er will get a few, and you can request gold or silver when you email me.

You know, because the books are about tattoos and magic and stuff.

You can pre-order it from anywhere eBooks are sold:

AMAZON

BARNES & NOBLE

iTUNES

KOBO

All you have to do is send your proof of pre-order to me at ericsmithrocks at gmail dot com. It can be a screenshot of your order, a forward of the email, whatever you want. And since the swag items are light and made of paper… this pre-order campaign is international! Hooray! Swag will be mailed out the week the book is published.

As for the story in Branded… well, it’s been about two years since Inked, so here’s what it’s all about, taken right from the Bloomsbury website, because they are way better at explaining my writing than I am:

In Inked, Caenum discovered his destiny.

Now, in Branded, he must fight for it.

As the final battle approaches, Caenum must choose his own path one last time… or it will be decided for him.

After narrowly escaping the soldiers of the Citadel six months ago, farmboy-turned-rebel Caenum is now at the head of the rebel army. He and his fellow Conduits, practitioners of an ancient, forbidden magic, have spread across the Realm, freeing city after city from the Citadel’s tyrannical grip. But in the midst of their rebellion, a traitor lurks. And when their safe haven is destroyed, Caenum and his friends must flee deeper into the wilds than ever before. Because he has something the Citadel wants–a weapon that could change everything. A weapon he must protect at all costs.

In this thrilling new sequel to Inked, Eric Smith delivers a heart-pounding conclusion to the battle between magic and free will.

I hope you all like it. <3

An Update on Branded: Coming in May 2017

branded-header

Hey friends!

So, you might notice my next book, Branded, had a publication date change. It’s not coming out tomorrow.

Earlier this Fall, my rockstar editrix Meredith Rich left Bloomsbury’s digital imprint, Bloomsbury Spark, for another awesome gig. Branded wasn’t quite done yet, which put the book in an odd little limbo. That’s one of the quirky things about digital publishing. You can keep editing until a few months before the release date.

She’s still editing away, freelancing for Bloomsbury while doing cool things at her new publishing house, but instead of it being released this month, it’ll likely come out in May 2017.

I’m patient, I know it’ll be out in the world eventually, so this shouldn’t reflect poorly on anyone involved. I adore Meredith and the team at Bloomsbury, and I’m excited for Inked’s sequel to be in your hands. It’ll just be a little longer.

So hang in there! The adventure continues in 2017.

Want to Review INKED Before BRANDED Comes Out?

both books

Hey friends!

So BRANDED is heading your way soon, the sequel to INKED, thanks to the wonderful people at Bloomsbury’s digital imprint, Bloomsbury Spark. Hi Meredith!

I’d LOVE to get the first book into more hands before the second comes out, so if you’d like a review copy to review on your blog or post about on Goodreads, drop me an email! It’s digital only, so I’ll be gifting a copy your way via Amazon or Barnes & Noble, as those are the easiest for me. Sorry, no .PDFs or anything like that.

Since it’s a digital book, it doesn’t matter where you are. This is open internationally. Just drop me an email (ericsmithrocks at gmail dot com) with a link to your blog or Goodreads profile, and if you’re an active reviewer, I’ll happily gift a book your way.

And no, you don’t have to worry about followup “omg did you review the book yet?!” emails. If you review it, great. If not, that’s fine too.
