Winter 2012: Books I’m Working On
The late Fall and Winter is a strange time in publishing, at least for me. Nothing is coming out until mid-January or so, but we’re still busy building lists and pitching books. Then we go on vacation, come back, and wrangle everything together.
It’s a harried, hectic routine… but I love it anyway.
So! Here’s what I’m busy emailing bloggers about right now. If you see something you’re interested in (you should!), drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In The Slither Sisters, we follow Robert and his friends deeper into the world of Lovecraft Middle School—and its bizarre parallel dimension, the Tillinghast Mansion. Along the way they discover a pair of mysterious twin sisters who may not be exactly what they seem. Can they convince the principal that something is wrong before it’s too late?
Every volume in the Lovecraft Middle School series is fully illustrated and features an original lenticular portrait on the cover. Display them on bookshelves—and then watch the cover characters morph into monsters as you pass by!

“Who’s on first. What’s on second. I Don’t Know’s on third.” One of the classic comedy sketches of all time is now transformed into a priceless picture book—and it’s a great read for kids of all ages. Follow the mistaken identities, confusion, and lots of laughs as Rabbit and Bear act out this scene.
The book will appeal to Abbott and Costello fans, baseball fans, and anyone who enjoys funny banter-driven picture books. Illustrated in full color with slightly retro stylized illustrations.
